"Grains of Sand" is a moving, reflective documentary that follows the friendship of two women in their 80s separated by an ocean, but united by a lifelong bond and love of art. Filmed over eight years, the documentary follows Margot and Barbara as they meet yearly on a farm in Germany to share their work and reflect on their lives and friendship. This special screening will include a discussion with the filmmaker, who is the daughter and daughter-in-law of the film’s stars, and a reflective art experience on what it means to age while continually discovering oneself. Lunch will be provided.
