The Baltimore City Memory Café

The Baltimore City Memory Café is a social gathering for people with cognitive changes or dementia and for the family members, friends, and care partners who support them. Hosted through a collaborative partnership, the Café creates space for connection, creativity, and community in a relaxed, judgment-free environment. This initiative is a collaboration between Keswick Multi-Care Center, Memory & Aging Community Advisory Board (MACAB), Johns Hopkins Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (JHADRC), Binti Circle, and the Baltimore community at-large, reflecting a shared commitment to supporting older adults and caregivers across Baltimore City.

What is a Memory  Café?

A Memory Café is a social program that brings people together in a relaxed environment. Gatherings typically include interactive activities such as music, art, movement, storytelling, or local history, along with time to socialize and enjoy light refreshments. No experience, preparation, or diagnosis is required.

Should I attend?

The Baltimore City Memory Café is open to individuals experiencing cognitive changes or dementia and to family members, friends, and care partners seeking connection and community support.

The Café focuses on people—not medical conditions. Participants choose what they wish to share, and no one is asked to disclose a diagnosis.
